So Its been forever since I have posted on my blog. I have been super busy with the new baby, and forget that I should be posting here. Having a baby has completely changed our lives, and we LOVE it. So what if we don't get any sleep. Landon has been a good baby. He started teething at 3 months. Wow that has been wonderful to deal with. At 5 months he decided he wanted to start on baby food!! He loves him some sweet potatoes. His doctor is just amazed at how well he is developing. He does most everything a normal 5 month old baby would do. Landon loves spending time with his Grandma Tilly (my mom) every Monday and Tuesday. Grandma has really taken her job as a grandmother seriously. She has all kinds of toys for Landon, and reads fun books to him every day. I am fortunate enough to have family that watches Landon during the week so that I am able to work full-time.

We were finally able to move into our new home, and it has been great. We are still trying to get everything unpacked and the house decorated. We will be putting a fence and a yard in this spring. I can't wait to have a yard and flower beds and all that fun stuff!!!

Cory and I went on a little vacation in February. It was really nice to get a break, but of course we picked the worst time to go to Florida. It was cold and windy. We actually went on a cruise to the Bahamas.

I'm home and recovering. Landon will stay at the hospital for while longer. I know he is in great hands, but I'm still so scared. Cory is being the best husband ever and lets me cry whenever I need to. I love my family and can't even imagine what I would do without them. Here are some pictures of the baby.

Our little Guy

So Landon David Hutchings was born on October 8th 2009 at 1:30p.m by c-section. Landon was extremely anxious to make his appearance into the world. He weighed 2lbs 7oz and was 15.5 inches long. He will spend some time in the NICU at St. Marks Hospital.
Landon was born at 32 weeks gestation, but looked more like he was 26 weeks. Mom's placenta was not working correctly so he was not getting the calories and nutrients he needed to grow. Tuesday night I was not feeling well and was having contractions, which is nothing new. I relaxed at home, and got the contractions to stop, and I thought that was the end of it. Wednesday morning I still just didn't feel well, but wen to work anyway. While at work I started having regular and very painful contractions. As I tried to work through the contractions, I just felt as if something was trying to tell me that something was wrong with the baby. I knew I just couldn't ignore this feeling, so I had a co-worker find my doctor, who happened to be working in the OR that day. He came to where I was working and I just started bawling as I was trying to tell him about the contractions and about my feeling. He walked me straight over to Labor and Delivery where I was hooked up to all the monitors and we watched Landon for a while. It was very clear that I was having contractions. What we didn't anticipate was that when I would have a contraction Landon's heart rate would drop very low and he would have a hard time getting the heart rate to come back to normal. Seeing this, my doctor decided that I should get steriods to help develop Landon's lungs just in case he decided to come early. I was then told I would stay the night in the hospital just to be watched and to get another dose of steroids in the morning. I did just that, and during the night Landon started to become more and more distressed. An ultrasound to look at my placenta and umbillical cord was ordered and at 4am it was done. It showed that Landon was not moving well, and was not getting adequate blood flow from the placenta. It was then decided that we would move forward with a c-section. We needed to wait for the steriods to do there job, so it was scheduled for noon on Thursday. He is here now and I am am so thankful that I listened to my body and didn't ignore a feeling I had. Thank you to everyone that has included Landon and myself in there prayers. I'm sure we will need them.

It has begun

The building of our house has begun. We actually have a hole dug, and tomorrow morning footings will be poured and foundation will be soon to follow. We are still on track to be in the house before the little one arrives.

So I found out that we are going to have a little boy. So Lera our little guys are going to be friends not lovers!!! We are both so very excited. I had a feeling it was going to be a boy, but Cory was so sure it was a girl. He was so shocked when I told him, but then he started crying because he was so happy.

My Alien

This is our little alien!! We don't know what the gender is yet, but our next appointment is at the end of June and we should be able to see.

My mother loved going with us to the appointment to see the baby on ultrasound. Of course she cried when we heard the heart beat.

Pregnancy is going better. I'm not as sick as I have been. I still don't have any energy, but I'm sure some day it will get better.

Cory's Father

So the last week has been crazy for Cory and I. Last Saturday Cory's father called to say he didn't feel well, and that he was going to stay home from the races, which isn't like him. Sunday he called and said he still wasn't felling better, and with his symptoms I told him he needed to go to the Emergency Room. He did, and they found a huge iliac aneurysm, the artery in the groin area, and they shipped him off to the University of Utah. In my opinion that was a huge mistake. I am not a big fan of the U and if I would have known what was going on I would have insisted he go somewhere that people were going actually care about him. So after sitting in the ER at the U for who knows how many hours he was finally admitted to the hospital, after finding out that he had had a heart attack on Satruday. Anyway long story short he needed to have open heart surgery pretty urgently, but of course the surgeons at the U were "busy." I said BullSh** and had him transferred to St. Marks hospital where I work and he had surgery the next day. He is doing well from the open heart surgery and will have another surgery today to fix the aneurysm. Hopefully he will be able to go home Thrusday or Friday of this week.

Today is my mothers birthday, and what is she doing??? Planning a BBQ for her kids. How sweet is that. Today for her birthday I will take her to the Dr. with me to see the ultrasound. She has wanted to go and I thought today would be the perfect day for that. I will post a picture later today now that I have my printer/scanner thing working again.

So we heard the heart beat this week! It was super awesome and Cory is so excited. I'm not sure why women say that they love to be pregnant. I'm not loving it. I'm sick all the time and never feel like eating. O well it will all be worth it in the end!! Love you all!!

I'm PREGNANT!!!

So I had surgery on Wednesday and what we thought was an ectopic pregnancy is really a REAL pregnancy. I'm only about 5weeks but o my heck it finally happened!!!!

Well Wednesday the 25th I had surgery to take a cyst off my ovary. Everything went well and I'm feeling great. I'll be back to work on Monday. Cory has been great this whole time taking care of me. I have such a great husband!!1

A new hobby!

Ok so after playing Guitar Hero/Rock Band with Cory, Rie, Lera and Greg. I totally decided I wanted to play the guitar for real. Last Friday I bought a guitar and I can now call myself a guitar player. I can play about six notes is all, and my fingers hurt so bad. Cory is game, and doesn't mind listening to me each night learning to play. Well I just thought I would let everyone know, I will be a kick butt guitar player in no time!!! I need to thank Lera, Greg, and Rie for sparking my interest in the guitar again. THANKS!!!

Friends and Fun

So on Saturday we were fortunate enough to hang out with old friends. It had been so long since I had seen Jennifer and Lera. I was super excited. Sariah, Lera's sister was also there. It was so much fun. Cory and I learned to play Rock Band/Guitar Hero. I am so addicted. I have to get it. Thank you to Lera for letting us use her home. Thanks to Jennifer for driving from Provo to see us. I'm sorry that Jake was sick. We have to do it again soon!!!

Updates

Ok so its been a while since I updated. I just can't seem to remember to update my blog. So anyway the new year has started off great. Cory and I are doing well. I absolutely love my job. Its weird to enjoy going to work in the morning. I'm so glad that I'm done with school. I will eventually go back but right now I need a break. Cory's business is picking up and he loves it. Valentines day was great. Cory bought me a Kathy VanZeeland purse, he picked it out all by himself. Its so cute. I am so proud of him!! I got Cory his first I-Pod, he was so excited. He opened the package and handed me the i-pod and said please please please put music on it right now. He has no idea how to download music so I am adding more music weekly for him. I think he pretends that he doesn't know how to do it!!

We bought some property last year, and now we are starting the project of building a house on it. We have our plans and a contractor, now we just need to break ground. It will happen in the middle of March or early April. It is going to be a big task and I'm sure Cory and I will have many fights over the next few months. We will get through it. I might not have any hair when the house is done, but thats ok.

So Cory and I did get Rookie of the Year at Rocky Mountain Raceway for the Figure 8 Train division. We recently had a banquet and this is the trophy that we received!! It was so fun to get dressed up for the night!!

Thanksgiving

So I know its December, but I wanted to post about Thanksgiving day. It was a wonderful day. It felt like we were eating from sun up to sun down. Spending time with our families was great. We don't get to spend a lot of time with our extended families so it was really good to see them and catch up with whats going on in peoples lives. I hope everyone had a great Thanksgiving.

Carrie Underwood

Last night was the Carrie Underwood concert. It was so awesome. We were so close to her. We had such a good date night and I wish the night could have lasted longer. It really sucked that I had to work this morning or we would have stayed out later. Oh well. It was great and that's all that matters.

So I'm done, I am officially a Registered Nurse, and I love it. The last semester of school was such a blur!! I am currently working at St. Marks Hospital in the Operating Room which is what I have always wanted to do. Cory and I are doing well. We still don't have any luck on the baby thing. I have been taking Clomid for 3 months and will meet with the Dr this week to talk about other options. I'm just not ovulating. I don't understand how a person who wants to have children so bad can't, but people who dont just seem to get pregnant by looking at a man. Its so frustrating.

Hopefully now that I'm not in school I can keep my blog updated!!

A Life Update

So just an update for everyone:

I'm currently in my last semester of Nursing school. I will finish October 3 2008. I can't wait. Graduation will be on October 17th. I'll post the time and location when I confirm the information. I'll also be sending out invitations, but if you don't get one, I probably don't have your address, but I still want everyone to attend that can. I'll also be having a party and will post that information as well.

Cory and I are doing well. We have been trying for children for over a year, and have recently started using fertility medications. Each month is so very frustrating, and I am on edge every 28-32 day!!

Cory's business is doing very well. He loves having it and loves what he does. I don't think he has been happier with a job. He is always busy, and has been adding more and more accounts to his list each month. I am so proud of him.

I currently work at St. Marks Hospital as an LPN and I love it. I have so much fun each day, and I love taking care of people. I wish I hadn't taken so long to get to my dream of being a nurse.

We recently bought a half acre of land in West Valley, and we will start building a house in the spring of 2009. We wanted to start this year, but decided it would be better to wait out the winter and let me finish school and get a job situated for myself.

Cory and I have been racing at Rocky Mountain Raceways this season. We are doing Train Racing. Its where you have three cars attached with chains and you drive in a figure 8. It is so fun. I plan on posting a video of one of our races, but first I need to figure out how to do that. We have Rookie of the year locked up and at the end of the year banquet will get a trophy for our efforts. We haven't really finished well, but at least we won Rookie of the year. Our last race is this weekend Sep 13th.

I think that is about it for now. I'll try my hardest to keep things updated.

I finally did it

Ok after several people have asked and begged. I have started a blog. I can't say that I will be the best at keeping it updated but I'll try my very best. I just want to say hello to all of my friends and family, and I love all of you.
